This is about you; this is about telling your story!
MY JOB IS TO CAPTURE YOUR SPECIAL DAY AS BEAUTIFUL AS "IT" IS AND "YOU" ARE!
Your wedding day stands out as one of the very few experiences you will spend months preparing for. Every single detail is thoughtfully planned out weeks in advance. As your photographer, I am here for you in whatever way you need. Do you have questions about florists, caterers, DJ's, table settings, or just want to talk color schemes? I am here for you! One of the first questions I will ask is, "What do you consider to be the most important moments of your wedding day"? A pre wedding consult session will help us plan the schedule of the day to ensure we capture those important moments.
In my effort to balance curated portraits and candid moments I seek to give you an amazing experience as well as beautiful photos. I am devoted to creating stunning photos that will stand the test of time and am passionate about capturing the truthful and emotional imagery of your day.
Thank you for considering me to capture your most special moments in life!
XOXO AMBER
I highly recommend Amber Canterbury Photography! She helped us feel comfortable and confident which radiates in our wedding photos. With her vision for a great shot, she achieved our intimate Courthouse vibes we were hoping for and exceeded our expectations. When it came to our ceremony, not only did she capture amazing portraits I will cherish forever, but she also got lively and loving candid moments to look back on for a lifetime.
We will definitely be coming to her for any of our photography needs in the future!

Do you Travel?
Yes! I can travel anywhere you want! I am a huge fan of travel, and I am happy to go anywhere! Depending on the location, there may be a travel fee.
How long have you been doing this?
I have always had a love for photography and I really decided to pursue it in 2016.
How many photos do we get?
You will receive approximately 50 photos per hour of photography coverage.
How do we get our photos?
Sessions are delivered in an online gallery. Weddings/Elopements will be delivered by USB drive and an online gallery.
Do you retouch photos?
Yes, along with hand edits I do tend to edit out blemishes. I try to keep it as natural as possible! If this is something you do not prefer, let me know ahead of time. However I do not edit the shape/sizes of bodies.
What is your turn around time?
The type of session will dictate the turnaround time. 1 hour sessions are typically delivered within two - three weeks. Weddings are six to nine weeks for delivery.
How do we book you?
You may book by emailing me at plazyyphotography@gmail.com or call/text me at 719-539-5700.
Can you help us with planning?
Most definitely! I can help you organize your session to match your vision! For weddings this is huge! I will help with itineraries and family shot lists, as well as turning your inspo into reality!
How far out do you book?
I typically book up to a year in advance. I like having at least a 4-8 week notice for sessions including newborn, senior, family, milestones, and couples! That way I have ample time to get you scheduled, and to plan details before shooting. That being said, I do have last minute openings, so it never hurts to reach out and see!
What should we do for an engagement session?
There are many benefits to doing an engagement session before your wedding day.
It's very rare to find someone super comfortable in front of the camera. At the start of almost every e-session, my clients start out saying that they're going to be awkward, and I ensure them that if you don't feel at least a little bit awkward in front of the camera, you're not normal! One of the primary benefits of doing an engagement session is that it will help you get used to being in front of the camera before your wedding. Remembering back what you did at your engagement session will help make your portrait time more efficient on the big day and allow you to get even more photos you want during that time.
Having an engagement session is also great for relationship building. It will help your wedding photographer learn more about how you interact with one another, as every couple is different. While shooting, you will get to know your photographer's personality and shooting style as well. When you get to look back at your engagement photos afterwards, you'll also figure out which poses you love and maybe even some you don't like. Giving your photographer this feedback will help make your wedding portraits even more successful.
An engagement session will result in photos that express your personality and love, perfect for your Save the Dates and walls of your home.
What should we wear?
Wear something that makes you feel confident and represents who you are!
Choosing outfits for a photo session can be simple. It might seem tricky when you are getting multiple family members together for a group session, or when you just aren't sure how to coordinate, but fear not I have 3 simple tips to help you and your loved ones pull off a stylish cohesive look for a timeless portrait session!
1. CHOOSE SOLIDS OR SMALL PATTERNS OVER LARGE BUSY PATTERNS
Busy patterns can be distracting, but solid colors allow your eye to focus on faces rather than outfits when looking at a photo. Choose calming tones like blues and grays, or for something with more of a 'POP' try pink, royal blue, or aqua!
2. MIX & MATCH TONES
The key to coordinating outfits in a large group is choosing a color scheme to mix and match tones. For example, rather than everyone having white shirts and grey pants, just tell the group that you are going to wear "shades of grey" and see what they come up with. Usually, your end result will be something like this: Person 1 : white pants and a dark grey shirt, Person 2: light grey shirt and dark grey pants, Person 3: white dress etc.
This end result will have your group looking 'mix and match' with cohesive tones...rather than too 'matchy matchy'.
3. MATCH COLORS TO YOUR LOCATION
When in doubt about choosing colors, I recommend matching to your location.
